- Make sure that the stock retention bracket and backplate is on ther motherboard.
- Clean the CPU surface and remove all the old residue resides on the surface.
- Apply a thin layer of provided thermal pasted over the CPU surface evenly.
- Remove the protective film on the base of the cooler.
- Place the Cooler atop the CPU in a way that fan blows air to the back system fan.
- Align the 3 insert spaces of the clip with the hooks on the existing retention bracket, and them push down to hold the clip in space.
- Please make sure the clips at both sides are fixed on the hooks. Then swing the lever clockwise to lock the Cooler in place.
- The Cooler should be fastened tightly on the motherboard and not able to rotate at this point.
- Attach fan connector onto the power socket on the motherboard.
